Let it be. Always my favorite Beatles song, these 3 words have taken on new meaning on our household recently. My son has also latched on to this tune as his #1. What this means is that we listen to it during breakfast, then watch and re-watch this you tube video, then listen to the song in the car (the whole way), and so on throughout the day.
Honestly, if I had to choose something to hear on repeat all day every day, I couldn’t have picked better. I love the message behind these words. As Paul McCartney describes, ‘Let it Be’ was a message he received from his mother in a dream as a reminder to ‘Be gentle, don’t fight things, just try and go with the flow and it will all work out.’ I am grateful for this perfect inspiration, especially now as it guides my days of being a mother to a toddler.
I created this graphic using an old watercolor scrap sheet. It was the piece of paper that I had next to the actual painting to test colors and brushstrokes. I like the beauty of all these shapes and colors and to me it makes the perfect backdrop here. A reminder of the possibility to choose calm and steadiness in the midst of chaos. And to even see the beauty in the the wildness.
